My love for Aleatha Romig continues to grow every time I read her books. Seriously, she continues to amaze me on how devious and wicked she can easily lure readers to get addicted and hooked with her writing. When I read Betrayal, I loved it and couldn't wait to get my hands on the next installment.

Cunning was just as brilliant, provocative, enticing, and sinful. I loved this second installment because it truly highlights Aleatha Romig's prowess and finesse as she deviously draws readers to this tangible and palpable bond that Nox and Charli/Alex have for one another. This book was dangerously intoxicating as Ms. Romig continues to leave readers wondering who really is Nox Demetri. Is Nox dangerous? Is he cunning?

The mystery and allure of Nox Demetri is one of the main aspects that makes Cunning stands out. I love that we are constantly wondering who is and what makes this man is so addicting? I truly believe Aleatha has a knack in making any dark and dangerous man sexy and sinful. The Nox that readers met in Betrayal is nothing like the man he is in Cunning which is why I'm so drawn to Nox. I love the whole dark, dangerous, and mysterious vibe that Aleatha is slowly revealing as readers get invested into this series.

The Nox and Charli/Alex relationship definitely hit a whole new level as Charli/Alex continues to test the boundaries of her relationship since Nox makes it know to her that he OWNS her. He doesn't just own her body but every aspect of her life. And Charli will soon find out everything has a price. Will her life ever be the same as Nox dictates what she can and can't do? Can Charli adjust and find the Nox of Del Mar or will she submit to this new and powerful Nox?

While readers are invested in the Charli and Nox dynamic, Aleatha Romig surprises readers inserting chapters from Charli's mom. And within these chapters, Ms. Romig has readers like myself stunned and begging for more as we discover truths and family secrets. And let me just say duplicity, Machiavellian, and cunning were taken a whole new level as secrets were exposed.
What can I say but Cunning was calculating, mysterious, intriguing, and addicting. This book had everything you expected Aleatha Romig to write and so much more . It was hot, sensual, a little dark but not really, suspenseful, and consuming. As always, Ms. Romig weaves a sharp, smart, sophisticated and arousing storyline where her gorgeous prose and raw characters will hold you hostage as you are taken down a journey of fourberie, mystery, sex, and control. So if you are looking for a series that will OWN you then I highly recommend you to read Cunning. Nox may have owned Charli but Aleatha Romig will own you with her literary prowess.
