Volt and Taylor are electrifying. I love their connection and their friendship. They were so different, but I guess opposites attract. Taylor is a teacher and a very simple girl, not Volt’s regular type at all. But for some reason he was drawn to her and she was to him. But he was a manwhore and she didn’t want to be just one of his conquest. Instead they made an agreement and become really good friends. They were sweet and funny, I just couldn’t wait for them to get together. As they go on with their lives and their friends only rule, so they kept denying their attraction for each other. I didn’t realize at first when I started reading this book, that this was a series with a bunch of books attached to it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Even though it ended with a little cliffhanger, I’m already hooked and I can’t wait to read more of Volt and Taylor’s friendship and where they could end up.

A continuation of Volt and Taylor’s story. In this second installment these two mostly dances around each other, denying what’s in front of their faces. As much as I love them both and their friendship, I just wanted them to wake up and see who’s right in front of their face. They are both so blind and living in denial. I love Volt and who he had become, a man he wanted to forget. Taylor makes him want to be a better person, but with Taylor he seems so helpless and blind. Then there’s Taylor, who is also blind, who can’t see what everyone sees so openly. I am hoping the next book is them finally getting together, but it might be wishful thinking. Crossing my fingers though. Still an enjoyable read, can’t wait to read the next one.

I was so glad that Taylor and Volt finally got their sh*t together. They took so long to make their move and so long to finally to admit to it. They were sweet and sexy. But I hated it when Volt lost his head for thinking the worst of Taylor, when it was all a misunderstanding. These two really need to get their act together and really learn to trust each other. Their best and their worst can come out at any given time. They are both good people and in love, but trust is something I guess they still need to learn. They may be adults, but at times they acted like teenagers. They are both so explosive with their love and anger for each other. Off to the ending Combust.

As much as I enjoyed this story, I felt like the ending just dragged. I was tired of the game the Volt and Taylor played. In this book, I wanted to just smack the hell out of Taylor and tell her to get her head out of her a**. Her best friend Sara was a manipulated b*tch and I couldn’t wait for her to go away. I do love the ending, but the time of getting there was just another story. This book would have been perfect if it was all in one book, splitting up the whole story just made it drag. But all in all, it wasn’t bad and I adore Volt for the man that he had become and Clay was an awesome kid.
