99% Faking was an ok read. I am a lover of YA books and all the sweet moments, but this one lacked a lot of those. There were a few sweet scenes here and there, but it was mostly confusion of teenage dating. I like Lisa for her love of books and anything Harry Potter. It reminded me a little of my book nerd side. Harry Potter merchandise makes me ga-ga. lol. But Lisa had some downside that I didn’t enjoy. She lacked self confidence, trust and self worth. She had to make things happen or do certain things just to make herself feel better or feel worth it. I guess that is the result of her sperm donor, which I understand…But Lisa went through this throughout the whole book, she was never sure of herself and her feelings. I do love Matt. Yes, as a teenage boy, he needed some time to know exactly how he felt, but as soon as he figured out what/who he wanted he stayed on track to make things happen. He was Lisa’s rock, even if it took her a while to realize it. All in all it was an ok read.

A meticulous heartfelt romance that showcased Danielle Pearl’s ability to create a story that packed an emotional punch that was poignant, beautiful, and endearing. In Pieces completely took me by surprised in a good way. The New Adult genre is either a hit or miss with me especially since I find college themed romance pretty much standard. But in this book, Pearl treated her readers to a story that was more than romance. It was a story of healing, starting anew, and friendship.

#InPieces

College is every person’s defining moment. It is where you discover the type of person you are. It molds and shapes who you are as an individual. College can also be a fresh start and for Beth Caplan, it was her escape. Her moment to start over and leave her past mistakes behind her. But what Beth didn’t expect was her older brother’s best friend, David March to be constantly hovering over her.

David has always been attracted to Beth and wants to protect and keep her safe. While others may see David’s action as a bit too overprotective, I found it to be sweet and thoughtful. As much as David wants Beth, he still doesn’t want to cross the line. As Beth and David navigate the blurred lines of their friendship, feelings begins to emerge. Will David finally be able to be honest with his feelings for Beth?

In Pieces was indeed a very slow burn romance that worked for the storyline of David and Beth. I loved that Danielle Pearl didn’t rush anything and allowed readers to understand and feel for her characters as they go on this journey of self discovery. So if you are looking for a story that had all the romantic elements and still carry a strong meaningful storyline then this book is definitely for you.

Kissing My Holder was is one of those books that gives you the giggles and the butterflies in your stomach. This is the kind of story that reminds me why I still enjoy Ya books. The story is about best friends turning into lovers. This was really sweet and so refreshing to read.

The best friends started their relationship the wrong way, which I didn’t agree with at all. Cheating in any way is not something I tolerate, but these two learned from their mistakes and worked on getting things right. As they worked on their relationship, I enjoyed their sweet moments. Jill and Max were too cute for words. The way the story ended was just perfect for these two friends turned lovers. They were young and so in love. Even though the ending was short, it conveyed all their feelings. Loved. it.

Author Cassandra Fear wrote such a beautiful book that is close to her heart. With every word I read, I became more and more consumed with the life of teenager Arielle. The smart, humble and very forgiving girl with so much heart. The story was a fast paced teenage romance and more, that will pull any reader in.

Arielle was new in high school, an average girl who had the best of friend Jess. Jess and Arielle did everything together, but life changed once a gorgeous guy named Blake walked into Arielle’s life. Life of a teenager is not easy and having a broken heart is the worst. Blake and Arielle became close fast and their love for each other wasn’t far behind. But that is teenage love for you, it comes hard and fast. The difference is Blake and Arielle were more than just a couple, they were close and shared everything with each other, until they didn’t. Read the book and find out what happens to this young couple.

While this story is about teenage love, it was also more than that. The story of Arielle’s life left me in tears before the end. The raw emotions that Author Cassandra Fear had me feeling, was a shock to me. I felt every pain Arielle went through and also the happiness when she finally found the love that she deserved. If you are into raw emotions and some tears, with teenage innocence..then this book is for you.

Skylark and Rory’s story is what being a teenager and in high school is all about. The peer pressure, the first kiss, first love and first time. The first half of the book is all about doing stupid things and being obsessively in love with a boy. While the second half is all about growing up and being responsible. Rory changes and does a lot of growing throughout the book. There were times when I wasn’t too happy with her decision, but at times understandable because of her age. I wasn’t too fond of Skylar at first because of how he treated Rory, but he won me over before the end with his charms and sweetness. I wasn’t too happy for what Tristan had to go through, my heart hurts for his pain. I hope that he gets his own happy ending, as he was a very nice guy who deserved the world. As for Skylar and Rory, their love story ended up being epic. They were in love and deserved everything that came their way. The book ended on a happy note, but I wish there was more of an epilogue. All in all it was a very good ya romance and writing style. It was a little bit too long for my taste, but worth the read.

A Girl Like Me, a book I have been waiting for since I read A Boy Like Me. This story is as powerful and as beautiful as the first. When the last book ended, Wes was lost and everyone thought he was dead. I knew just like Josselyn that he was alive, hiding but never really far. Joss was strong without West, she had always been a tough chick. But when Wes disappeared, she was broken and wouldn’t give up her search for Wes, until she found him.

 photo AGirlLikeMe-Teaser.jpg

I love the connection that Wes and Joss had, no matter how far apart they were they felt each other. They knew they belonged to each other. Author Ginger Scott left us all with such a big cliffhanger, but I knew that she wouldn’t disappoint. The wait for this book was worth it, what she gave us was so much more than I expected. I love the idea of a Superhero living in the real world, saving and making sure everyone he loved was taken care of. He didn’t go out there looking for trouble or problems in the world, Wes watched out for his love ones and he did it with everything he got. Wes may not fly, but what he did with what he got was amazing. He was a man who loved with all that he is and that was his biggest power. Without love Wes would be a lost boy, just like he was before he met Jocelyn.

West and Josselyn’s may have gone through so much together, but their story ended so beautifully. Their love for each other conquered all and their story may have ended in the book world, but their ending was just the beginning of the beautiful life I see them having. A real life superhero book, I truly enjoyed.

☆☆☆☆ 4.5 STARS ☆☆☆☆

Reign of Crowns book one is a great mix of The Hunger Games and Divergent. As every start of a series, this book goes into a lot of explanations and expectations for the present and future. Josephine Dupree is the highest of all family and known by everybody. I love her character as she is a strong and very smart. But just like every teenage girl who is put in a situation in between two gorgeous boys, it’s easy to mix real feelings, to just wanting to do the right thing. There is Sterling who has been promised to her since she was little and there is Gray who fell for her. Sterling seemed great, but I was hooked by Gray from the start. He was all about Josie’s safety and his feelings for her was genuine and Sterling was unknown. Josie puts these two guys in a love triangle, as she was indecisive on what she really wanted to do or should do. At this point Sterling is very much a mystery, while Gray is an open book and believe in the same things as Josie. I am a big fan of Gray and I’m rooting for Josie to pick him.

 photo ReignofCrowns-Teaser-2.jpg

There is so much mystery in this story, that I couldn’t wait to find out more. At every page I was more and more hooked into this new series. Author Dani Hart made this new world that is both beautiful and broken, I cannot wait to read more of it. This book may have ended with a cliffhanger, but it was an ending that makes me super excited for book 2.

photo f0a9ec87713398bfe3606f73bc091e_zpsxlcvwtny.gif I watch because it’s fascinating and I’m in awe of everything that is Jordan Tuttle. His body is beautiful. I want to kiss him all over.”

Monica Murphy knows when it comes to Jordan Tuttle and Amanda Winters that she has my full attention. Seriously, I fell in love with these two instantly in the second installment, More Than Friends. There was something so right, raw and relatable when it came to these two. Though they are young and a little bit immature, I found them to be the most sensible of the cast.

#ForeverMonicaMurphy1.1

Forever picks off where it last let off in the second book. Amanda is dealing with her break-up with Jordan and Jordan is trying his best to stay away from Amanda. Well, as much as Jordan tries to stay away from her, he can’t since his feelings for her runs so deep. It didn’t take long for Jordan to miss Amanda and admit that he made a huge mistake in letting her go.

photo f0a9ec87713398bfe3606f73bc091e_zpsxlcvwtny.gif This is the happiest I’ve ever seen Jordan Tuttle in my life. This. Right now. I don’t want to ever forget this moment.”

As Jordan tries to win back Amanda, he knows that he has to let her see the real Jordan Tuttle. The man who is trying to not let his parents manipulate and use him. The man who wants to be the best version of himself for Amanda. As Amanda lets Jordan back into her life, she slowly sees the real Jordan Tuttle and let me just say you will definitely want to #CuddleWithTuttle.

While Amanda and Jordan are the main focus of Forever, Monica Murphy does reunite readers with Livvy, Ryan, Cannon, Em, and Dustin. A big part of me was so happy to see a different side to Em and was glad that she was able to find that someone who brought her happiness, joy and love. As for Ryan and Livvy, they were that high school couple who had so much drama. The ups and downs. And lots of fighting and making up. Hence, lots of growing up for them then this book is definitely for you.

#ForeverMonicaMurphy1

Forever was a great conclusion to the Amanda and Jordan story line. I enjoyed how this book came together and how Monica showcased growth and depth as Amanda and Jordan navigated through their relationship. So if you are looking for a story where you are reminded that no matter what age you are, love is about understanding, respect, patience, and trust.

☆☆☆☆ 4.5 STARS ☆☆☆☆

Operation Prom Date is just my kind of Book. Perfect combination of innocence, flirting, humor and lots of happy moments. Kate is just like any other teenager, who loves her fictional shows and ships lots of her favorite character. She loves Klaus from Vampire Diaries so much that she named her pet after him. She is a simple girl, who doesn’t realize how pretty she really is. She is also a high school girl who had a major crushed on their hot school quarterback, who is nice to her..but hasn’t shown any real interest. Mick in my opinion was an ok guy, but not good enough for someone like Kate. He only wanted girls who are not quite available, so he won’t have too much to worry about. Then there’s Cooper, who is gorgeous, but also simple. He doesn’t want much, but to win his game. They were somewhat friends in the past and decided to help each other out during their time of need.

It didn’t take long for me to fall for Cooper. Who wanted Kate for who she truly was. He was nothing like Mick, who was a little bit of a jerk in a way. Cooper was a real sweetheart and cared a lot for Kate. Somehow the attraction went both ways, but neither one wanted to let it out afraid to ruin their friendship. This was a lighthearted, fall in love kind of book. I love the innocent love, it makes me feel like I’m in high school all over again. I enjoyed this ya romance and I can’t wait to read more from Cindy Madsen.

A Boy Like You is heartbreaking, but so good. Joss and Wes are super cute. When they were young Wes was a lonely little boy, who just wanted to be noticed and Joss gave him that. He loved her since they were little, but after he saved her…he disappeared. They didn’t see each other again, until they got older. Joss was still a tough chick, who is troubled and great in baseball. Wes was a totally different person, he was no longer thin, he had a great body and every girl wanted him. It took Joss a little while to really figure out that he’s the boy she’s been missing, but she always knew he was someone she used to know. When Wes finally shared his childhood story with Joss, it broke my heart. I could really picture this young boy, who had barely anything and no one loved. I wanted to reach out and hug him if I could.

 photo ABoyLikeYou-Teaser.jpg

Joss and Wes connected right away after their one on one and neither one wanted to stay away from each other from then on. Even Mia, who wanted to be with Wes, couldn’t do anything about it. From their first time making it official, to their first dance, to their first time, it was nothing but sweet. I feel more and more in love with their story as I kept reading. Then a tragedy pulled them apart and Author Ginger Scott had me holding my heart, hoping she would stop breaking it. Then as Joss lived her life, hoping for a miracle, things happened and the book ended in a cliffhanger. I was shocked by the ending and my heart completely broke with the ending and I need book 2 now, like quickly. Thanks a Lot Ginger. =( :::: I still love you even though you broke me for a bit. <3
