Almost normal..
Almost have a real boyfriend…
Almost, but not quite….
That is Jess Jordan’s life. She had been suffering from PTSD, after almost being raped at a party during her freshman year. Now 3 years later, she still hasn’t gotten any better. She wants to go to college and move with her life, but without showing some kind of normal with her parents' there was no way that was going to happen. While waiting for her 2nd interview for a paid intern job with Gray, she thought of an idiotic plan that made so much sense to her. Maybe crazy to some people, but to her it made all the sense in the world. She wrote up a contract that both she and Gray agreed on. She gets a fake boyfriend that will help her seem normal in her parents eyes and Gray gets to have a $8000 paycheck. At that time it seemed like a great idea, until she fell in love with him.

If I were Jess, I would have done the same. Gray was a great guy, he was better than a Book Boyfriend will ever be…which is something Jess found out being around Gray. Gray was not the person she thought he was. He wasn’t a jerk, a player, or full of himself. Gray was so much more and everyday they were together, it became harder and harder for her to keep her feelings in check. Same goes with Gray. Love was in the air for these two. But will the secrets tear them apart? Or will they forgive each other from their mistakes? Read and find out.

This book is sweet and innocent, but deals with a very serious issue. Having Gray around made what Jess was going through a lot easier. He made her feel normal, he made her feel cared for and loved. These two may be young, but they were both wise beyond their years. Another satisfying story of Anne Eliot, thanks for sharing with me.
